Suburban Hospital: A History of 70 Years Serving Our Community
We opened our doors on December 13, 1943 as a 130-bed hospital comprising several one-story cottages. Our goal was to accommodate the medical needs of an expanding World War II military population that was congregating in the Washington, DC region.
To celebrate our 70th anniversary, we compiled photos dating back to our ground breaking in 1943. We hope you enjoy the flashback and thank our community for its support of Suburban Hospital.
